POWELL TO SCORE "JUMPER"
Powell is unsurprisingly going to score Doug Liman's "Jumper", a sci-fi adventure film about a young man who can teleport himself anywhere. The film stars Hayden Christensen and Samuel L. Jackson and is due for release in February 2008.
After taking scoring duties for Liman's past two films, "The Bourne Identity" and "Mr. & Mrs. Smith", it came as no surprise to see Powell had been called upon again for this movie. Let's hope we get an interesting and exciting score!

POWELL NOMINATED FOR TWO FILM & TV MUSIC AWARDS
Powell has been nominated for two Film & TV music awards (a new award program for the film and TV industry). Nominations are in the categories of "Best Score For A Dramatic Feature Film" for "The Bourne Ultimatum" and "Best Score For An Animated Feature Film" for "Happy Feet". The winners will be announced shortly but for now more info about the awards can be found here.
