For the third year running, the International Film Music Conference was held in Úbeda, Spain. The event took place between Thursday 19th and Sunday 22nd July.
Composers, and other film music industry attendees included John Powell, David Arnold, John Debney, Bruce Broughton, John Scott, Robert Townson, Richard Kraft and Laura Engel.
The main event consisted of several talks from the aforementioned people, but also the European premiere of "Finding Kraft land" (a film about the obsessive nature of Richard Kraft), a concert on the Saturday night, and a signing session on the Sunday morning (well, afternoon considering how late it started!).
I obviously wasn't able to attend every single talk, but consider the videos the highlights of the best bits. |

Thursday 19th Summary:
-Fans arrived and collected their packs. These included passes to the sessions, concert tickets, a programme, an autograph book, a book about the film music industry, a keyring, a DVD of last years concert and 3 free CDs ("Evolution" by Powell, " Baby Boy" by Arnold and " Dragonfly" by Debney).
-Robert Townson gave a welcoming speech and then followed with a tribute to Miklóz Rózsa.
-Ray Costa open panel.
-Pascal Gaigne open panel.
-The GoldSpirit & Jerry Goldsmith Awards For Young Film And Audiovisual Composers.
